Marketers are often confused with product to choose in Adobe Experience Cloud. Giving a brief below in simple words. To be mindful, Adobe entereed into Marketing space with series of strategic acquisitions from CQ (AEM), Magento (Adobe commerce), scene 7(Adobe Dynamic media), Omniture (Adobe Analytics), demdex (AAM) and then Neolane (Adobe Campaign) and evolved Experience Cloud as we see today.
1. Adobe Launch - This is Adobe TMS (earlier DTM by Adobe that was a product created out of Satellite, platform that Adobe acquired in 2013). Any Adobe or non-adobe Tags/tools can be implemented on web/mobile property using Adobe Launch including Media pixels.
With Edge Network, Web SDK or AEP SDK can be used as well with server side forwarding to Adobe Experience Tools
2. Adobe Analytics - Adobe Acquired Omniture in 2009. This is Analytics tool offered by Adobe to collect first party data fropm Web or Mobile Property
3. Adobe Target - Test&Target was originally created by Omniture (Which was then acquired by Adobe). This is Optimization Tool for A/B;Multivariate Testing, Recommendations and Experience Targeting
4. AAM -Audience Manager is a DMP (Data Management Platform) tool by Adobe. This was originally Demdex and acquired by Adobe in 2011. Audience Manager helps in creating data sets, segmentation, and serve targeted advertising and content to the right audience.
5. RTCDP - Adobe AEP is realtime Customer data platform that enables organizations to streamline the flow of data, create a single view of the customer, and to build seamless experiences across devices and touchpoints. Adobe AEP is backbone for creating Schemas, Experience Data Models (XDM) and offering integration with experience cloud products like edge network, Journey Optimizer, Customer Journey Analytics etc
6. Adobe Journey Optimizer - Adobe Journey Optimizer is a marketing platform that provides platform to manage omnichannel campaigns. It can integrated with Adobe Campaigns for creating templates and transactional messages. AJO integrates with Adobe AEP to read the data sources and create messaging offering decisioning/email service/sms service. It also has Offer Decision Engine which leverages Adobe Experience Platform data and Real-time Customer profiles, along with the Offer Library, in order to select the right time, customers and channels to which offers will be delivered.
7. Adobe Campaigns - Adobe acquired Neolane in July 2013 and later re-named the product Adobe Campaign. Adobe Campaign provides both marketing automation and marketing resource management functionality such as spend & financial management, workflow, and asset management. Work flows can be created targeting the Audience Library built by tools like Adobe Audience Manager.
8. AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) - CQ was acquired by Adobe to become Adobe CQ in 2010 now known as Adobe Experience Manager. This is Content Management System and supports all integration of Experience Cloud. This is supported by Adobe Commerce (Magento in 2018), Adobe Dynamic media classic (scene 7 acquition in 2007) and GenStudio
9. Sensei - Very new in the market. Based on generative AI. Can be used to create AI segments in RTCDP, AAM
